The power of green…..

by kathrynsherratt

Green vegetables are full of antioxidants….here are some of my favourites.

  • Spinach is my number one favourite green vegetable whether cooked or raw. It’s full of magnesium which supports the nervous system and muscles.
  • Broccoli and cabbage help reduce inflammation in the body; this is important to help prevent midlife diseases such as metabolic syndrome.
  • Asparagus is rich in beta-carotene, low in calories, yet rich in protein and a good source of Vitamins A and C to support skin health,
  • Celery is often overlooked but is full of antioxidants and phytonutrients and is good for the digestion system. It is also mainly water so great for those watching the calories!
